Thhis week we turn to one of the regular Wednesday night affairs at Arlington Raceway, Eastbourne. This was 19th July 1989 and a nice dry night which saw this big crash, which fairly demolished the 420 car. Memory has faded totally of this meeting but it looks like 420 was empty at the time and Biggles has come along and rolled off of the car. As you can see the 115 car sported a modified roofline as a result of the crash but the driver was fine. Meanwhile you cannot help but be impressed at the bottom pics line up of Arlington talent. Geoff Hazell puts the bumper in on Terry Harris, who does likewise to Nik Wickham. In those days the post & wire fence meant that the crowd came closer to the action there than anywhere - we might well have taken a step back when we saw all those come thundering into the corner!
